Lighting Planning Process (English Version)

Lighting planning is not only about illumination. It is the process of transforming design intent into a buildable, controllable, and fully integrated lighting system. By integrating design thinking, technical expertise, and manufacturing capability, we deliver lighting solutions that are clear, controllable, and refined — from concept to completion.

01|Project Brief & Design Alignment

We begin with a comprehensive understanding of the project, including:

  • Architectural drawings
  • Interior design concepts
  • Brand positioning and project identity

This allows us to identify spatial functions, user flow, and visual priorities.

Objective: Ensure lighting planning is fully aligned with the overall design direction from the very beginning.

02|Lighting Concept

Based on the design understanding, we establish a clear lighting concept. Lighting is used to shape atmosphere, rhythm, and user experience.

Key elements include:

  • Light layering (ambient / accent / decorative)
  • Color temperature strategy and visual comfort
  • Contrast, rhythm, and spatial hierarchy
  • Emotional expression and brand identity

Core Principle: Lighting becomes a design language, not just a functional element.

03|Space-by-Space Lighting Planning

Lighting is planned individually for each functional area:

  • Public areas (lobby, corridors, restaurants)
  • Guest rooms and suites
  • Back-of-house and service areas

For each space, we define:

  • Lighting methods (direct / indirect / concealed)
  • Fixture distribution strategy
  • Illumination levels and lighting standards

Focus: Create both diversity across spaces and overall consistency.

04|Fixture Strategy & Technical Definition

Based on the lighting strategy, we develop a complete fixture system. This includes:

  • Standard vs. custom fixture solutions
  • Fixture scale, proportion, and design integration
  • Materials and finishing techniques
  • Light source specifications (wattage, lumen, CRI, beam angle)
  • Control systems and dimming strategies

05|Technical Coordination

We translate design into precise technical documentation for construction. Our deliverables include:

  • Lighting layouts and fixture schedules
  • Electrical and control system coordination
  • Installation requirements and constraints

We coordinate closely with:

  • MEP systems
  • Ceiling and structural design
  • On-site construction conditions

06|Sample validation & Implementation Support

Before mass production, key fixtures are prototyped and validated.

We verify:

  • Lighting performance
  • Material and finishing details
  • Overall visual consistency

We also provide:

  • On-site adjustment support
  • Installation guidance

Result: Ensure the final outcome fully reflects the original design intent.
